    Launching the the Holiday Inn Express brand across Australasia.

    In 2012, IHG approached Tactical to investigate the opportunity of introducing the Holiday Inn Express brand to Australia -  one of the largest hotel chains in the world, and IHG's fastest growing brand.

    Tactical adapted the generic development principals from existing Express assets overseas to better suit the Australian market and create a financially feasible development product. By elevating the hotel standard and guest experience, the brand was positioned as an upper mid-market, quality limited-service product targeting business travellers.

    Pro-Invest Group was subsequently brought in as a capital partner, owner, and operator of the Express brand in Australia under a master franchise agreement, with Tactical acting as the development delivery partner.

    Tactical focused on acquiring suitable development sites. The first transaction was at Macquarie Park in Sydney - a major business corridor, technology, and education precinct.

    Following this initial development, Tactical has worked with Pro-Invest to roll-out the Express brand across Australia and New Zealand, providing "a full service" solution that encompasses site acquisition and transaction management, feasibility assessment and development modelling, stakeholder engagement and business case support, planning approvals, development and project management, procurement, as well as full design documentation and construction superintendence, to hand-over for operations.

    • Brisbane (Brisbane CBD) - 13 level 227 Room Hotel + Basement Car Parking
    • Adelaide (Adelaide CBD) - 10 level 245 Room Hotel + Ground & Podium Retail
    • Melbourne (Southbank) - 27 level 345 Room Hotel + Podium 5,000sqm Office & Retail + Podium Car Park
    • Melbourne (Melbourne CBD) - 34 level 313 Room Hotel + Podium 4,500sqm Office + Retail + Basement Car Park
    • Queenstown (New Zealand) - 4 level 227 Room Hotel + Suites + Car Parking
    • Newcastle (NSW) - 8 level 170 Room Hotel + Retail + Podium Car Park
