    Infrastructure

Extending the Auckland electrified network from the south of Papakura to the southern end of Pukekohe.

    Auckland

The Papakura to Pukekohe (P2P) Electrification Project will extend the Auckland electrified network from the south of Papakura to the southern end of Pukekohe. This will enable the introduction of electrified rolling stock services and increase the passenger service frequency to 6 trains per hour to Pukekohe.

New stations will be constructed at three locations between Papakura and Pukekohe: Drury Central, Drury West, and Paerata. The P2P Project will undertake enabling works for these stations, with the construction of the track and elements of civil and platform works included as part of the CW03 Package. The CW03 package scope of works was tendered as two contracts for different sites along the open route and was split as follows:

    • CONTRACT 3A – Drury Central Station (including combined service route, formation, formation drainage, Waihoehoe Retaining Wall, and Glenbrook Spur formation site
    • CONTRACT 3B – Drury West and Paerata Stations (including combined service route, formation, formation drainage, large culverts, and platforms)

The same Contractor was the successful tenderer for both Contract 3A and 3B, and these will be combined into a single CW03 Contract.
